Rory Swenson is the senior pastor at Park. Rory grew up in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, went to college at Morningside in Sioux City Iowa, and is a 1981 graduate of Boston University School of Theology. He has been a pastor in Nebraska, Minnesota and the Red Bird Missionary Conference in Kentucky. He came to Park church in 1999. He is a married to Beth Swenson, and they have two children, Sara and Nick. Rory maintains a blog which you can read at
Jeff Ozanne is the associate pastor at Park. Jeff is a graduate of Garrett-Evangelical Theological seminary. Appointed to Park in 2006, Jeff also serves as the pastor of New Light UMC in Baxter. As part of his pastoral duties Jeff is responsible for developing new programs and groups, both within Park but also as a way of connecting to Light of Lakes and the greater community. Leslie Hobson is the Youth and Family Ministries Director. This involves coordinating programming and events for children, youth, adult studies, Christian Ed., Wed. night suppers, Sunday childcare staff and who knows what else. That is the joy of the position for her. Each day holds new and exciting adventures. Right now the excitement is in gearing up for all our new fall programming.
Park United Methodist Church - Copyright (c) 2010 Bill Fortune III is Park's 3/4 time Administrative Assistance and Financial Secretary. He handles day-to-day office procedures, financial deposits, as well as the monthly newsletter (ParkViews). He prepares the weekly bulletins and the PowerPoint display seen in the Sanctuary Sunday mornings. Also acts as the current Web Master for the church's website. * Jim Trott is the church's custodian. He works only part time and keeps the church building and grounds in the beautiful condition that they are in.
